What Is RSS?

You may have seen little orange icons that look like this:

XML-RSS

on this Web Site and others.

RSS is is the next big internet thing! You can get news feeds from major news networks, information from great web sites, or even updates from your favourite band!

All of this webformation coming straight to you, and you can read it when you want to.

"RSS" stands for "Really Simple Syndication", but what this means to you is that you don't have to check Pinball Fixers each week to see if there's something new.

Each time we update a page, or create a new one, we release it through RSS so you can be notified about it without having to search the site.

The best part about it is you don't need to subscribe to an email newsletter, you don't even have to give out your email address!

So there's no need to worry about email spam, or people selling your email address for profit!

So how do you do it? Easy!

Download an RSS reader to your computer. (If you don't want to do this, scroll down to the bottom for other options...)

Windows:
RssReader

Mac:
NetNewsWire

Or a Cross-Platfrom RSS reader that does an excellent job:
MultiNewsReader

Once you're set up, here's all you have to do...

Right-click (control-click for Mac users) on any orange RSS button on a site, blog or news source that interests you. Start by right-clicking on the XML RSS button now. Then...

Select Copy Shortcut ("Copy Link to Clipboard" for Mac), and paste that URL into your RSS Reader.

And that's it! You're subscribed.

Right-click and get started.
